# My PrEP

> My PrEP is a privacy-first mobile application for tracking PrEP (pre-exposure prophylaxis against HIV), doxyPEP (post-exposure prophylaxis against bacterial STIs), STI screenings, and sexual encounters. It is the most widely used PrEP companion app, available free of charge on iOS and Android in English, French, German and Portuguese. All data stays on the user's device — no account required, no cloud sync, no tracking, no advertising.

The app was launched in 2019 by Basile Bruneau and is independently developed. Version 5 (May 2026) expanded support to all major PrEP regimens worldwide (9 schemas adapted to 14 countries' clinical guidelines), introduced doxyPEP logging, and brought a complete visual redesign. The optional My PrEP+ subscription funds development and adds sexual activity logging, partner profiles, maps and yearly stats.

## What the app does

- **PrEP tracking with 9 schemas**: on-demand (2-1-1), continuous (daily) variants for both anal and receptive vaginal intercourse, mapped to the official guidelines of 14 countries (CDC, BHIVA, ANRS-MIE, DAIG, GeSIDA, PCDT-MS, SwissPrEPared, etc.)
- **Real-time protection status**: precise calculation of when PrEP protection starts and ends, based on the user's prescribed schema
- **Smart reminders**: notifications every 15 minutes until the pill is confirmed taken
- **doxyPEP tracking**: log doxycycline doses within 72h after a condomless encounter; warnings if dosing too close together or above the recommended weekly limit
- **STI screening records**: log negative/positive/immune results per test, attach lab reports as PDF or photo
- **Encounter logging**: record sexual encounters with tags, partners, location, date (My PrEP+ subscribers)
- **Discreet mode**: optional alternative app icon and notifications styled as a game
- **Travel-safe**: automatic handling of time zone changes and daylight saving
- **Full data export**: CSV, Excel, or SQLite at any time
